THE HOUSE OF DECIBEL

The Turin Institute for the Deaf manages two residential services for deaf adults in difficulty.

The "La Casa dei Decibel" type A apartment group is located in Viale San Pancrazio n. 63 in Pianezza.

Each guest enjoys the widest autonomy and freedom and a totally individualized educational project.
The house is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year and there is the continuous presence of professional educators and socio-health workers to conduct the activities and accompany the users in their life path within the structure.

The Casa dei Decibel is accredited as a socio-medical residential facility for the disabled.

THE SOPRA'S HOUSE

La Casa di Sopra is a small social housing, which temporarily hosts deaf and hearing people, united by the need to have a home for a certain period of their life and who intend to share a path of mutual knowledge and exchange.

The house has single and double rooms, almost all with private bathroom, and a large common area for cooking and socializing.

SOCIO-REHABILITATION WORKSHOPS DAYS

The socio-rehabilitation laboratories of the institute for the deaf of Turin provide daytime activities aimed at strengthening autonomy, communication and socialization. They can also have an indicative value with respect to a possible job placement.

They are aimed at deaf children over sixteen and deaf people with associated problems.

The socio-rehabilitation workshops are open from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 16.00 all year round excluding holidays with the possibility of attendance and weekly hours based on the family's request and on what has been decided in the UVH / UVM commission.

The laboratories are located in Pianezza in V.le San Pancrazio 65.

THE QUATTTTRO'S HOUSE

It is a reality of the Institute of the Deaf of Turin based on the concept of guided coexistence in an educational and cognitive-emotional perspective that occupies a central role in the development of autonomy processes within the psycho-social process.

It is a small residential unit inserted in the territory of Pianezza and born as a proposal to replace or as an alternative to the original family unit.

An Individualized Educational Project (P.E.I.) is created for each guest, agreed in a multidisciplinary team following, directing and highlighting the potential of the subject in order to obtain a progressive autonomy of the person, all in a family-like environment.

The service is aimed at people with Handicap certification pursuant to Law 104/92.

Access to guided coexistence and the proposed educational project are defined following the evaluation carried out by the Handicap Assessment Unit (U.V.H.) of the ASL.

The service is accessed through a request from family members at the local office of reference or through a direct proposal from social services or other territorial social and health services.

THE FUORI'S HOUSES

These are two small residential areas in Turin (Ipercoop area) and in Pianezza (via Musinè area), which they host. two people each in a path of maximum autonomy. A real training ground for independent life.

An Individualized Educational Project (P.E.I.) is created for each guest, agreed in a multidisciplinary team, following, directing and highlighting the potential of the subject in order to obtain a progressive autonomy of the person, all in a family-like environment.

The service is aimed at people with Handicap certification pursuant to. Law 104/92.
