Our library specializes in deafness and the material possessed pertains exclusively to this field of study.
To find out the titles held by the library, you can do your research on the two main online catalogs to which we adhere and in particular:

Librinlinea

the regional OPAC that allows you to carry out specific searches on monographs and periodicals owned by libraries belonging to the Piedmontese pole of the National Library Service (SBN)

Internetculturale

the portal promoted by the General Directorate for Library Heritage and Cultural Institutes (DGBLIC) of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and created by the Central Institute for the Single Catalog of Italian Libraries and for Bibliographic Information (ICCU). It allows access to the National Library Service, to historical and specialist catalogs.

 

The Institute's library has a free WI-FI connection and there is a reading room with 20 seats.
The assistance and consultancy service is available in Italian, English and Italian Sign Language.

In the premises of the library there is a permanent exhibition of materials of historical and cultural interest relating to the Institute, the history of the deaf and their education, as well as the ancient bookbinding and typography laboratory that operated from the end of the 19th century to to the 1960s.

Free guided tours are possible (in Italian, English and in LIS) upon request and by appointment.
