Etymology: Italian and Spanish Sign Language
The SignRoot project seeks to explore and celebrate the origins and evolution of signs in sign languages, with a special focus on Italian Sign Language (LIS) and Spanish Sign Language (LSE). Its mission is to deepen linguistic and cultural understanding by advancing etymological research and creating valuable resources for Deaf communities and linguists alike.
SignRoot is a trailblazing initiative that bridges academic research and social impact, paving the way for a future where sign languages are studied, cherished, and recognized as an integral part of Europe’s rich linguistic heritage.
