Marko Vilhelm Vuoriheimo
Rapper finlandese sordo, è noto in tutto il mondo per essere stato il primo artista sordo a firmare con una major discografica internazionale, la Warner Music.
A deaf Finnish rapper, he is known worldwide as the first deaf artist to sign with an international major record label, Warner Music.
Definisce la sua musica “party hip-hop con una posizione sociale”. I bassi profondi gli permettono di sentire e seguire il ritmo, mentre sul palco rappa nella lingua dei segni, compresa la lingua dei segni internazionale e l’ASL. Nei concerti e nei video è spesso affiancato da artisti udenti che danno voce ai suoi testi.
He describes his music as “party hip-hop with a social stance”. Deep bass lets him feel and follow the rhythm, while on stage he raps in sign language, including International Sign and ASL. In concerts and videos he is often joined by hearing artists who give voice to his lyrics.
Tra i tanti palchi, anche quello del Festival Clin d’Oeil di Reims, il più grande festival internazionale dedicato alle arti in lingua dei segni.
Among the many stages he has played is the Festival Clin d’Oeil in Reims, the largest international festival dedicated to sign language arts.

Cresciuto in una famiglia sorda, dopo i primi canti natalizi tradotti nella lingua dei segni per i parenti inizia a produrre la propria musica. Fonda il gruppo Signmark con DJ Sulava e MC Mahtotapa.
Raised in a Deaf family, after translating Christmas carols into sign language for his relatives he began producing his own music. He founded the group Signmark with DJ Sulava and MC Mahtotapa.

Alle selezioni finlandesi per l’Eurovision Song Contest arriva secondo con Speakerbox, dietro ai Waldo’s People. La visibilità ottenuta porta al contratto con la Warner Music.
At the Finnish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest he finishes second with Speakerbox, behind Waldo’s People. The exposure leads to a contract with Warner Music.
