The Turin Institute for the Deaf manages various residential services for deaf adults facing difficulties.

The "La Casa dei Decibel" group home is located at Viale San Pancrazio no. 63 in Pianezza.

Each resident enjoys the fullest possible autonomy and freedom, along with a fully individualized educational plan. The home is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with professional educators and socio-healthcare workers continuously present to run activities and support residents along their life journey within the facility.

La Casa dei Decibel is accredited as a socio-healthcare group home for people with disabilities requiring high-intensity care.

La Casa di Sopra is a small social housing facility that temporarily hosts deaf and hearing people who share the need for housing during a certain period of their lives and who wish to take part in a shared journey of mutual understanding and exchange.

The house has single and double rooms, almost all with private bathrooms, and a large common area for cooking and socializing.

This is a Turin Institute for the Deaf program based on the concept of supervised cohabitation, approached from an educational and cognitive-emotional perspective that plays a central role in developing autonomy as part of a broader psycho-social process.

It is a small residential unit located in the town of Pianezza, created as an alternative to, or substitute for, the family of origin.

An Individualized Educational Plan (P.E.I.) is drawn up for each resident, agreed upon by a multidisciplinary team that guides, directs, and brings out the person's potential with the goal of achieving progressive personal autonomy, all within a family-like setting.

The service is intended for people with a disability certification under Italian Law 104/92.

Access to supervised cohabitation and the proposed educational plan are determined following an assessment carried out by the local health authority's Disability Assessment Unit (U.V.H.).

The service can be accessed through a request submitted by family members to the relevant local office, or through a direct referral from social services or other local socio-healthcare services.

The project, dedicated to deaf asylum seekers and holders of international protection, provides accommodation as part of the City of Turin's SAI project for refugees.

The Reception and Integration System (SAI) is the Italian model for welcoming asylum seekers and holders of international protection. The system is organized as a network of local projects spread across the country and aims to foster the autonomy and social inclusion of beneficiaries.

The services offered include food and lodging, legal and psychological assistance, Italian language courses, support for job placement and schooling, and guidance toward local services.

"Un Segno da Abitare" offers reception, economic and social support, mediation and interpreting, Italian and LIS language courses, and support for each refugee's individualized pathway.

The Turin Institute for the Deaf's socio-rehabilitation workshops offer daytime activities aimed at building autonomy, communication, and socialization skills. They can also serve as guidance toward possible future employment.

They are aimed at deaf young people over sixteen and deaf people with associated conditions.

The workshops are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM year-round, excluding public holidays, with attendance and weekly schedule tailored to family requests and to what has been established by the UVH/UVM committee.

Since 2004, the Institute has offered afternoon literacy courses in written Italian and in Italian Sign Language. The Institute is also a CELI exam center of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, for the certification of Italian as a foreign language.
