THE HOUSE OF DECIBEL

The Institute for the Deaf in Turin operates two residential facilities for deaf adults in difficulty.

The residential group "The house of decibel” type A is located in Viale San Pancrazio n. 63 in Pianezza.

Each guest enjoys a maximum of autonomy and freedom, as well as a completely individualized educational project.

The house is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and there is the constant presence of professional educators and social workers who carry out the activities and accompany the users in their life journey within the structure.

The house of decibel is accredited as a socio-medical residential facility for people with disabilities.

THE SOPRA'S HOUSE

The Sopra’s house is a small social housing that temporarily accommodates deaf and hearing people who are united by the need to have a home for a certain period of their lives and who intend to follow a path of mutual acquaintance and exchange.

The house has single and double rooms, almost all with private bathrooms, and a large common room for cooking and socializing.

SOCIO-REHABILITATION WORKSHOPS DAYS

The socio-rehabilitative laboratories of the Institute for the Deaf in Turin offer activities during the day to strengthen autonomy, communication and socialization. They can also provide a point of reference for possible job placement.

They are aimed at deaf children over the age of sixteen and deaf people with related problems.

The socio-rehabilitative workshops are open from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., all year round, except holidays, with the possibility of participation and weekly hours based on the request of the family and the decision of the UVH / UVM Commission.

The laboratories are located in Pianezza in V.le San Pancrazio 65.

THE QUATTTTRO'S HOUSE

It is a reality of the Institute for the Deaf of Turin, based on the concept of guided coexistence in an educational and cognitive-emotional perspective, which has a central role in the development of autonomy processes within the psychosocial process.

It is a small residential unit inserted in the territory of Pianezza, created as a proposal to replace or as an alternative to the original family unit.

For each guest an individual educational project (P.E.I.) is created, coordinated in a multidisciplinary team that follows, directs and highlights the potential of the person concerned in order to achieve a progressive autonomy of the person, all this in a family-like environment.

The offer is aimed at people with disabilities certified under Law 104/92.

The access to the accompanied cohabitation and the proposed educational project will be determined after the evaluation by the Department for the Evaluation of Disabilities (U.V.H.) of the ASL.

Access to this service is obtained through a request from the family members to the local reference office or through a direct proposal from the social services or other territorial social and health services.

THE FUORI'S HOUSES

These are two small residential areas in Turin (Ipercoop area) and in Pianezza (via Musinè area) that host them. Two people each in a path of maximum autonomy. A real training ground for independent living.

For each guest an individual educational project (P.E.I.) is created, coordinated in a multidisciplinary team that follows, directs and highlights the potential of the person to achieve a progressive autonomy of the person, all in a family environment.

The service is aimed at people with disabilities, according to the law. Law 104/92.

Access to the service is through a request from family members to the local reference office or through a direct proposal from the social services or other territorial social and health services.
